How do I know my camera will work on the SR-1000?

It was designed for the TRV-900, VX-1000, and EZ-1. It has enough adjustments to accomodate almost any mini camcorder ever made.

What camera won't it work on?

The 455/456, EVW-300, X2, X2-B, any camera that already has a shoulder rest built into the body.

How many accessories can it hold

Th optional accessory bracket holds one item, but can be ordered to hold up to 3.

How good is that 2" monitor and isn't it kind of small?

This is one of the best monitors that we have ever seen. It's got excellent resolution, A+ color, good brightness, very little image lag, great side angle viewing. The size is relative to how close it is to your eye. On the SR-1000 it is approximately 12" from your eyes. This is the best size to weight ratio. If you have a 3" monitor its a little bit of overkill and a 4" is way too big.

Why don't you have a hoop on the back to hug your shoulder?

The hoop design is not needed on a lightweight system. Hoops were designed for big heavy cameras, to keep them from sliding off your shoulder. Our straight round shoulder pad lets you position it in several places, (floor, under arm, belly, and shoulder). When its mounted on the tripod you can use it as a handle. And when its on your shoulder you can smoothly and comfortably rotate it off axis for modern style shooting. Its is also very comfortable and this design lets it fold up for travel more compactly.

What is it made out of?

Mostly aicraft grade aluminum and steel for the tripod mounting plate.

If its made to go on your shoulder, why does it have a tripod mount?

I personally don't like to shoot any shot that lasts for over 15 minutes on anything but a tripod. This allows the versatility of follow the action shoulder mounted shooting, and then quick mounting to a tripod with all accessories still attached, for speeches or long format shooting.

Can I manually focus my camera while still holding the grip handle?

Yes, the VX-1000 and the TRV-900 have a focus ring or a one touch auto focus button that can be manually activated without releasing the hand grip.
